My research interests are primarily early-mid twentieth century architecture and urban design especially in the Limerick region, Irish social history, industrial heritage, conservation and appreciation of twentieth century structures. I am currently researching all the churches of Limerick city for exhibition proposal for Limerick City of Culture City of Churches looking at how these buildings from Gothic Cathedrals to simple modernist chapels were the visual and spiritual focus of communities in Limerick.
